Bank Guarantee (BG)

A BG is a guarantee issued by a bank for an account holder where the bank agree to pay a beneficiary up to a guaranteed sum when a valid claim, as dictated in the terms of the BG, is received by the bank. BG is usually issued in lieu of advance payments or cash deposits.
